The Best Aftermarket TPMS System

The Best Aftermarket TPMS System For Your Older Car

In Product Review, Video by dbtech

I’ve been looking for an aftermarket TPMS system for my car so I can keep track of the air pressure in my tires.

TPMS Review

A lot of older cars don’t have any kind of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems in them so it’s nice that Zmoon made an aftermarket system that is SUPER easy to install, setup, and use.

Each tire gets its own sensor and each sensor is labeled FL, FR, RL and RR for front-left front-right, etc.

Inside each of tire sensor unit then is a tire pressure sensor as well as a temperature sensor to let you know the temperature of your tires at quick glance. There is also a replaceable battery in each one which is great as this means that the aftermarket TPMS system can be used for a long time.

The TPMS system (I know it’s redundant, but what can you do?) can be setup for Metric or Imperial units of measure.

The receiver of the TPMS will sound an alarm if the tire presage in any tire gets below a certain threshold, which is great if you don’t look at the receiver often.

I found that, with a full charge on the battery, you can get about 2-3 days of use, leaving the receiver turned on the whole time. If you place the receiver on your dash, though, it should get enough sunlight to charge the battery via the solar panel an the top of the receiver.

Overall I’m really happy with the TMPS system and I’m sure it will pay for itself in a short period of time just with fuel savings from running on properly inflated tires.
