In this video we’ll take a look at How To Install NetData On OpenMediaVault 5.

Netdata is an all-in-one monitoring solution, expertly crafted with a blazing-fast C core, flanked by hundreds of collectors. Featuring a comprehensive dashboard with thousands of metrics, extreme performance and configurability, it is the ultimate single-node monitoring tool.

Netdata installs in seconds and auto-detects hundreds of metrics right away. Get instant insights through fully-functional visualizations and hundreds of valuable alarms. It’s real-time monitoring, minus the time-consuming configuration.

Netdata is a more detailed, more beautiful real-time health monitoring and performance troubleshooting solution. It’s open-source, distributed, lightweight, flexible, meaningfully crafted, eager to integrate, and hungry for metrics.

This is a super easy process.

Get logged into your Portainer admin panel and click on “Add Stack”

In a new tab, go here:

Go down to where it says “Run netdata with docker command” and look for “version: ‘3’”

Copy everything from that section and paste it into your empty stack instance.

Change the ” version: ‘3’ ” to ” version: ‘2’ ”
Remove the entire “hostname” line

Click the blue “Deploy Stack” button

Wait a minute and then open a new tab and go to http://your-server-address:19999

That’s it. Just that quickly and easily you’ve installed NetData to get more realtime data about your server’s system resource usage.
